The Brearley wrestling team is now preparing for its first District 11 Tournament at Westfield, which will commence Friday and conclude Saturday.

After winning District 10 in 2006, 2007 and 2008 for its first three district crowns, Brearley was edged by Roselle Park by one point for last year's championship.

The Brearley wrestling team will get another chance to try to grab its first state championship Sunday at the Ritacco Center at Toms River North in Toms River.

The second-seeded Bears won at top-seeded Hanover Park 51-21 in Saturday's North 2, Group 2 championship match, winning that section for the third straight season.
