Walter Makara
Walter Makara, 86, of Kenilworth died March 2 at home. Born in Ukraine, Mr. Makara emigrated to the United States and Elizabeth in 1949 and moved to Kenilworth in 1995. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of the St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, Elizabeth. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Paulina; a son, Ihor; three daughters, Mary Noonan, Olga Makara Gordon and Christine Krulik; a sister, Anna Bohacz; a brother, Andrew, and six grandchildren. The Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, Linden, handled the arrangements.
